Plain-English terms for oxvelo's sites and services

The free scanner

The Oxvelo Compliance Scanner is provided free, as-is, for checking websites you own or are authorized to assess. Results are automated indicators measured by our published rubric — they are not a full WCAG audit, a certification, or a legal determination of compliance with the ADA, the EAA, or any other law, and must not be represented as one. Do not abuse the service (automated bulk scanning, probing, or attempts to disrupt it are prohibited; rate limits apply).

The Compliance Badge

The oxvelo Compliance Badge is a revocable, non-transferable license to display your verified tier, granted while your site meets the qualifying score under the then-current rubric. Badges are cryptographically signed and verifiable; displaying a forged, altered, or expired badge, or a badge on a domain other than the one verified, is prohibited and terminates the license. Continuous qualification is available through oxvelo Shield monitoring.

Paid services

Fix packages, subscriptions, and other services are described at their point of purchase; the price shown at your scan applies as stated there. Work begins on agreement and is delivered with a verified rescan. Fees for completed work are non-refundable except as required by law.

Our content and research

The Oxvelo Compliance Report's datasets are licensed CC BY 4.0 as marked. Everything else on these sites — text, design, the rubric, the badge marks, and the oxvelo name — belongs to Oxvelo LLC and may not be reused without permission, except fair quotation with attribution.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, oxvelo's sites and free tools are provided without warranties, and Oxvelo LLC's total liability for any claim relating to free services will not exceed $100, and for paid services will not exceed the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

General
